Buzzing Sound Coming From Roush Shifter

Hello everyone!

I'm hoping someone else out there can help me get rid of a rather annoying buzzing sound that is coming from my Roush shifter. I hear it and feel it when I am about to go up into the next gear. At first I thought it had something to do with the stock **** I was using so I bought their billet aluminum ****. Same buzzing sound. Regardless of which **** I'm using, the sound goes away when I either place my hand on top of the shifter when approaching high revs or lightly press on the boot between the two bolts. I'm about to head out to the garage and put a hose clamp around the base of the shifter, hopefully that will do it. Do you guys out there have another idea that I could try?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Jon

Does the shifter have shift-stop bolts? If so, try backing them out a bit to see if the noise goes away. If so, then you have them set in too far.

It may sound silly, but I don't know if it does have stop bolts or not. I looked on their website but it didn't say.
