The horizontal lines you see on the Bullitt hood liner pictured are not dents. The hood liner is molded to clear the strut tower brace. The hood liner was molded to accommodate the cold air intake filter and filter box as well. I don't know if all 08 Mustang hood liners look like this or if this part is unique to the Bullitt. Perhaps someone with access to an 08 GT or V6 model could verify.

Nice work. Tungsten Bullitt painted his cold air intake. It looks similar to what you have done here except he had to paint raised letters. Nice work indeed.

I just installed mine about a week ago. Looks great and the car feels alittle 'tighter' now.

No cover or hood issues, but mine is an 08 with the indents for the brace in the hoodliner.

I also did the strut bar along with the CAI you quoted. Thanks for the plug. Here is a before pic and after pic of mine.

You can do the different colors you just have to take your time and do it in stages. Then go back and touch up to make it perfect!

I will be going to the CMC meet and greet on the 19th here in chicagoland. So if you wanna see it up close you can.

I'll take some photos of my 08 hood liner in the next day or so and post.
I'd like to get the bullitt STB as well for my vert.

(adds to ever growing list of mods to be done)... Aside from bracing the strut towers, what is the benefit of a strut tower brace? Does it help the car handle better or something?

I would have thought using the Ford STB would not have any fitting issues. I don't have any rubbing issues with my factory installed STB. Click on image for larger image.

'08 hood liners are different, they all have provision for the new CAI

I have an 07 that was built in June and it has all the 08 stuff. My hood liner and many interior items are just like the 08's. I currently have installed the bullitt CAI, strut tower brace and bullitt step sills and deck lid faux gas cover.

Good that you got the hood liner. They must have used up the previous version early.
(the '08 V6s get the new version hood liner as well)

What interior items are different between a '07 and '08 GT?
