Hey everybody, I just received the BMR LCA and they had sent the "strip" ones and not the "street" ones that I ordered. Just curious as to weather anybody has used the "strip" ones with rod ends on both or the "street" ones and if you have the strip ones, do they make a lot of noise? BMR called and will send out the correct order monday but I was just wondering what your experience has been on either the strip or street?

 

Might start to rattle as the bearings start to wear.

 

I don't believe they will rattle or wear. If I had it to do over again, I'd be getting the adjustable lowers as opposed to the fixed length. Then again, the fixed length have worked great, but I'm now at the point of adjusting things here and there to tweek it for max launch at the track. The question is....which ones did they charge you for?

 

Unless you are really hardcore, stay away from the rod ends. They work great at the strip but result in a very harsh ride on the street.

If it is a spherical bearing on any end it will wear and rattle as the rear end moves.

 

I have the street version (spherical on one end, bushing on the other) and they are creaky at low speeds over bumps, etc. I e-mail BMR asking if they were going to have an adjustable setup with bushings at both ends (like the adj panhard) and they said they are working on something but it was early in development.

 

I have the street one. They work fine and at a nice price.

 

got the race ones with rod ends. totally eliminated wheel hop, but at a price. the ride being firmer was not an issue for me, but for some reason i got a SCREECHING grinding sound coming from the rear end/brakes/something down there. put the stock ones back in for now til i ask bmr WTF that was all about

 

Anybody have any squeaks/rattles from the non adustable double bushing $120 ones? Anyone wanting to go adjustable want to sell the fixed ones?
