I got my lowering brackets and before I get started, I would like to know which side is which?

Part A

[attachmentid=47160]

Part B

[attachmentid=47161]

I believe part A is for the driver's side and the other is passengers side.

Can anyone help out on this??

Thanks

well since they are bolt on, they will go into existing holes and bolts. THUS THEY WILL ONLY FIT ON ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER. GET UNDER YOUR CAR AND FIGURE IT OUT. OR CALL BMR IF YOUR LAZY.

Hey, just a question.....rather than grunt and bust knuckles for no reason... I may have been a Marine, but I ain't stupid. I would rather ask than to waist time.

Besides judging by your signature, don't look like you have done much at all to your ride. SO who is not the one getting under the car?

I totally agree, BUT since I am not able to do it today, I thought I would ask......and save some time tomorrow. Gotta do honeydoo's today so I can play tomorrow.

On a side note, I am totally impressed with the size fo this BMR Stuff! the arms are huge and the brackets are well built. Right now my LCA's are level with the ground. The brackets should fix this. BTW I was not trying to flame 05 up there.

I got the answer from Jason at BMR.

Were you correct in your original assessment?

I just put mine on the other day and when I pulled them out of the box I expected them to be the same. But yea once you are under there you figure it out in two seconds. BTW just for reference the notch in the side of the bracket is for the sway bar to clear so that makes it real easy to line up.

That may be true, but I have to say that I have a ton more respect for someone who is willing to get under their car and turn wrench, and maybe ask a few questions in the process, than I do for the kids who pay someone to do even the simplest mods for them.

Well, this kid (actually old man) is doing all the work himself (except for putting on the stripes. I was a aircraft mechanic in the Marines and I like to have all the info on the front side.

I got them installed and look good. They do hang down some, but since they travel with the axel, I don't see a problem. It reminds me of the old school traction bars I worked with back in the day. I would post pics here but go to my site in my signature and go to page 4 to see the pics of it.

A big thanks to Jason and Lee for all the help with all my BMR questions.

Thanks for making this post Ryland. I am getting ready to get those and every little bit of information helps. No matter how lazy or insignificant some think it may be.

I love the red powdercoat they come in...just might have to paint my calipers to match...congrats on your purchase...

on a side note - I'm 28 and did not have the benefit of growing up around cars or people that wrench on cars...at the risk of sounding ignroant and/or annoying I asked anyone more knowledgable than myself questions, as well as looking things up online... I have since installed my CAI, TB spacer, pullies, lowering springs, x pipe, LCA's and axlebacks by myself (with some help from my father-in-laws tools) - the only thing I did not do is my gears and the welds on my LCA brackets. Yay me...

My wife thinks I'm nuts for putting all that on my ride - but I just remind her that I met her at a mustang club meeting and she rolls her eyes and leaves me be. I'm not looking forward to the expression she'll have on her face when I install my nitrous...

moral of the story - nothing wrong with asking even the simplest of questions...
