Well, the local track finally opened up here on 4/1. Since the forums were down I wasn't able to post it (or it was erased and I don't remember if I posted it or not). Needless to say, it was very busy and I managed to get five runs in. My third run didn't have an accurate time on it though. Mods are in my sig.

First run was against a 03/04 Mach 1 with full exhaust and 4.10's. Spun a good amount through first. I was a little anxious and redlighted:

Me Him
R/t: -.0660 .0142
60ft: 2.2050 2.0816
330ft: 5.8100 5.7017
1/8 ET: 8.7731 8.6746
1/8 MPH: 82.96 83.49
1/4 ET: 13.4551 13.3650
1/4 MPH: Inoper Inoper

Second run was against a newer Vette. It had two stickers on front that said "Howell Engine Development", or something. So obviously I was expecting to get whopped. This was my best run of the day though:

Me Him
R/t: .1139 .2270
60ft: 2.1192 2.2680
330ft: 5.7402 5.6211
1/8 ET: 8.7119 8.2609
1/8 MPH: 82.61 93.36
1/4 ET: 13.4160 12.3879
1/4 MPH: 105.15 119.65

Third run was against a 01 GT. My side of the track had an inaccurate time stated. My 60ft was 2.1398 though. The guy I raced ran a 14.3 and I was buslengths ahead of him.

Fourth run was against a new stage 2 SRT. I wanted to race one since I've heard they are pretty quick. Being that it was a stage 2 (not that I know what that means), I wasn't impressed:

Me Him
R/t: .0930 .2329
60ft: 2.2151 2.1419
330ft: 5.7798 6.2971
1/8 ET: 8.7489 9.4420
1/8 MPH: 82.41 79.81
1/4 ET: 13.4629 14.3011
1/4 MPH: 104.92 101.13

My last race was against a POS Caballero that ran a 17.2. I can't find that time slip, but I ran a 13.51 on that one.

So, out of the four runs I have slips for, I ran between a 13.41 and a 13.51 every time. I am happy with the consistency on that end but was disappointed at my 60ft times. I felt that for the most part I got decent traction. Is a 2.1-2.2 average? I guess next time I can lower the pressure in the tires a bit. Comments?

Since then, I went back to the track this past Sunday and the weather was a lot better. It was sunny and a lot drier (not as humid) which definitely showed in my timeslips. My best run was a 13.208 (posted in the timeslip thread) @ 106.08 mph. And improved my best 60ft to a 2.096(not on that run though).
Here are the videos from the first day.....

That 4th video was hilarious. The race was almost over by the time the Caballero even made it into the camera!

Thanks for the compliments guys. Hoping to install UDP tomorrow and get back to track on Wednesday. Hoping that MAYBE I can dip into the 12's (very high, if possible).

Quick question. Those of you that have installed it. Did you rent the three jaw puller? Is there more than one, and which should I get? Thanks for the info, just didn't want to start a new thread for a small question.

Nice Runs! Get yourself some gears and you'll be kicking some Mach 1 butt. I had to click that last video just to see what a "Caballero" is. Too funny.

I just bought a cheapo puller from AutoZone, about $30 if I remember right. Get the small one though bc there is only so much room between the crank pulley and the fan/radiator.

you dont really need a crank puller - unless you can find the right one. just used a prybar from diff angles until the pulley came off. I would have saved alot of time if I hadn't rented a "universal" puller and sat there for an eternity to see which jaws and at what angle would work.

also, you can just pull out the fan - 2 bolts at the top of each side, bottom sits on clips/hangers and remove the fan plug on the passenger side - and that will give you alot more room to pull the crank bolt and use a prybar...
