I would say that the guy either did not know hot to drive his Viper or was'nt really giving it all he had..... and from a strart line... no way.
Stats on the Viper by the way
Engine - 505 c.i.
HP - 500
Tourque - 525
Weight - 3410
Top speed - 190
0-60 mph - 4.0
(thats what most magazines have it at, there may be some variance)
They have us dominated in every category.
Don't get me wrong though, you have a sweet set up that I envy.
The Viper owner gave it EVERYTHING. yeah they have YOUR car dominated but I have more HP & Torque (didn't you see the Dyno Sheet?). Most set ups like mine will run a 11.8 in the 1/4 mile (or better) - good enough to beat a stock Viper in the 1/4

I think from a standing start the viper will jump me bu I would run him down and pass. I'm setting up a race vrs a C6 vette then aftger that I'll a Viper & post the videos.

....now if i run it with the stock pulley, i should have no durability/reliability issues correct? ....
It all depends on the tune as to your durability. You won't need subframes by adding a 100 hp.

I hate you..... I had just basically convinced myself that I do NOT have the money for a blower (Saleen was top of the list) and won't till at least halfway through 2007...........

And now the VIRUS is planted again.......
AAARRRGHRGHHH!!!! :bang:

Nice numbers and way to go man - and I love how it still looks stock. Is the blower fairly quiet?

You took the words right out of my keyboard.

How about injectors? Does the kit come with them or do I need them? And the fuel pump? I am not gonna go crazy with the tune, a nice safe reliable one. I also will prob only take it to the track a few times, and will not run slicks. mostly street driven.

Good Lord! Too bad they didnt start the run at 2500 RPM's to show how wide the torque curve is. over 400 LBFT of torque from 2500-6000 rpms. The pull of that motor must be amazing. How much did the whole install/parts cost for what you have now?

the torque make is so much fun
install was free since I did it myself.
parts total up to a little less than 6k for everything in my sig. & I bought the car on 11/2004 with the X plan price so I got about 35k for everything.

Hey Doc,

Are you using a C&L inlet tube with your Saleen SC. Can you post some pics. I was wonder if this combo would work.

You're lucky man, I posted about my 451 rwhp dyno pull on my ProCharged 05 GT and every other response was "grenade! grenade!"

Ever since Bryan blew his motor in his red 05 I've been scared of standing on it. I've only really raced it once and it wasn't an *ahem* unsanctioned race. It's my daily driver so that factors in too...

Is the stock block/bottom end in my car up to 425-450 rwhp? I hate having all that power and being afraid of using it...

Kris

To the original poster...I would think that you could have gotten those numbers without doing intake or exhaust. What do you think?

BTW, nice setup. I'll probably go KB myself, but either way it's a great setup.

Saleen SC set up works with the stock air box and tube --- the kit normally comes with the injectors too --- seen a few of them -- boost can be low at only 4.5 lbs ----- especially for a daily streeted car --- have heard the Saleen blower -- it is real quiet compared to some ----

great numbers --- my local Ford shop has run a few RoushChargers on F150s and 05/06 Mustangs w/o incidents and running close to 500 bhp and stock blocks and internals ----
