FWIW my car is driven daily and beat on at the track regularly. Other than an aftermarket converter and gears (3.73) the tranny is stock. The steep 3.31 stock ratio is bound to be harder on the tranny than 3.73's or 4.10's. Mine has been just fine so far. Just my opinion but tuning the transmission with a power adder is just as important in respect to making it live as the engine tune is to keeping your motor in one piece. Who tuned the broken trannies? My point is be careful which tuner you listen to. Edit: LOL ^^^^ What he said!

"As can be seen in the dyno graph, over 350 ft lbs of TQ are available by 2000 rpm, and 400 ft lbs of TQ are in at 2000 rpm at the rear wheels. This makes for a very fun and easy to drive manual trans car."

Hopefully they do one on an auto.

I like the idea of the whipple intercooled (if you're not concerned warranty-wise) with the right tune for the trans life, and if you can throw in a nicer converter.

We just did a Magnacharger on a Trailblazer SS and the kit was VERY VERY VERY nice. It was attention to detail, FULL PAGE COLOR instructions, easy and great for the consumer. The product came with a prepaid label to send out the ECU. We shipped it on a Wednesday and got it back Friday morning. The kit is just that bad ***. I think they make a top quality kit, but you have to be willing to pay top dollar.

So with that being said, in this PARTICULAR APPLICATION I wouldn't look towards Magnacharger, but if it was another vehicle (ie. LS6, etc.) I would point you in that direction. It just seems like people have had great luck with other kits.

Just curious to know why you would not recommend a Magnacharger for a Mustang? I am considering one. What are the negatives?

I would like to know also. It's $1500 cheaper than the Whipple. Don't get me wrong, I love the Whipple also.

Unless I'm mistaken, it's a roots blower, not a twinscrew, right?

Are you sure about the price difference? Are both models you are comparing intercooled?

The non-intercooled Magnacharger lists for about $4,000, but the intercooled version lists for $5,400.

I've seen the intercooled Magnacharger on a couple of websites for $4500. The H.O. Whipple is around $6000. $1500.
