If you run Axis Hiro wheels with a 19†x 8.5†(35mm offset) and a 19†x 9.5†(45mm offset) you can run any AP brake kit. The orange Mustang runs a 6 piston up front and a 4 piston out back.

However if you have the factory 18†Fanblades you can run the AP 4-piston kit with the 3mm spacer provided.

I have the GT500 Brembo set up with 18x9.5 Kazera KZ-A's from Tirerack.

No issues at all and plenty of clearance...

I'm just upgrading to the Baer 14" 2-pc eradispeeds with brackets for the stock calipers up front with better pads and ss lines, and getting drilled 1-pc stock sized rears with black hats and pads/lines in the rear so they match aesthetically, and so it all uses the stock wheels without spacers, and all for well under $1k

I have the stoptech kit up front with Ford GT BBS wheels, and I love the set-up. Stoptech brakes are rebadged for Roush, Saleen, and Steeda, and for the performance to price they are a great deal. If I could do it over again, I would have gone with the GT500 Brembo's with upgraded pads and rotors.

I am running Wilwood 6 piston 14 inch front and 4 piston 12.5 rear brakes. I have Shelby Razor 18x9 and ZE Forged Boost model 18x9 fronts, 17x10 rear wheels. Both sets clear with out any problems.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but could you post a link to where you ordered this set-up? Part numbers of the rotors would be great too. Thanks!

Stangmods had them but they may be out of stock, they are floating around several sites(just make sure its the set that comes with brackets). The rears I plan on getting will be rotopros. Pads are undecided, probably good old HPS's and some ss lines.

also, do the axis hiro need ring kit or is it hub centric?

thanks!

I believe the Hiro's are hubcentric. It usually takes them a day or so to open up the centers. There should not be any problem with the 19" x 10.5"

GT500 Brembos with factory 18" polished bullits - need 25mm (1") spacers front and rear.
