Okay, I have decided on the Bassani axle back exhaust but have a couple of questions. There are two models, the T-304 (high quality) and the T-409 (lower quality). Apparently there are also differences in the tips. I believe I read where the T-304 model has some kind of insert in it. My questions are:

1. Will the lower end one rust? And how long should it last?
2. Is there any sound difference between the models? Does that tip (if it really has one) in the T-304 make a difference?
3. Is it worth the extra 100.00 smacks for the T-304.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I have searched here and abroad and could not find any answers.

I'll answer the 409 v 304.
The 409 stainless has a higher steel content, If you put a magnet on 409 it will stick. The stock Mustang is mad out of 409 stainless. it will rust but it will take some time before it rusts through.
The 304 is a much higher grade stainless and if you put the same magnet on it it would not stick to it. 304 will rust but you would have to expose it to alot of road salt (for us northerners) for that to happen. It should last the lifetime of the car.

Sorry I cant answer the sound difference.
Personally I would spend the extra for the 304.

Thanks Gordon. That makes sense. I guess I will just go with the T-304 so I do not have to worry. I would still like someone to chime in on the sound and any other differences between the two just out of curiosity.
