BamaChips--Another Satisfied Customer

I just wanted to give a shout out to Doug at BamaChips. I installed the JLT & 93 Race Tune. AMAZING.

Yes, Doug's a busy man, but it was well worth it. Also, he replied to emails promptly. Don't believe everything you read, he's a busy man for a reason!

I agree his tunes are really good, I just wish he was closer to me so I could get a dyno tune from him.

I ordered mine on July 20 and received it August 9. I know the website says 7-10 days so you may have to wait a bit longer. Also, Doug didn't have the JLT in stock so it was shipped straight from JLT. The tuner and CAI arrived within a day of each other.

28 July for me. Ditto on the JLT backorder, but as far as i know it's all coming from Doug.

Cru- Wow! I bet you would be suirprised to see the jet in it's current form. A lot has changed. Coming from KC-135, B-1 and F-16's this thing constantly amazes me!

I actually didn't know it was coming directly from JLT until I received my tuner on Wednesday without the CAI. I called Doug and it was then that I found out it was being shipped from JLT. It all worked out fine.

I got lucky when I got mine. I ordered them on a Wednesday, Saturday morning I had a knock on my door with a big box waiting for me.

Looking forward to going back to the track in October when it's cool out. This 95 and humid stuff isn't helping anybody.

Recieved my kit! Now to find time to install it! Question for JLT owners. Didn't get any oil for the filter. Is the S&B pre-oiled????

It is pre-oiled and ready for use!!!!!!! Go for it! You can buy a kit to clean and re- oil it later. Enjoy!

Cool! Thanks!

ETA- Alright. I couldn't wait. Just finished the install. Went on easy and the retune was a breeze! I can guess my next mod will be new tires, since I left a bunch of my current set in the street!

GMS CAI headed to eBay!

hate to bust everyones bubble but.............. my bamachips tune was horrendous. first of all it came 3 weeks late. at the time i had long tubes and an o/r h. installed the intake and tune and immediately things went wrong. black smoke out the tailpipes, stalling problems, car would not run for weeks. doug had no idea what to do and basically blew me off. after it got running it ran extremely lean which would worry anybody. i would never recommend anything but a dyno tune, because my car was F@$#%d up for weeks with a mail in tune

Um...welcome to boards Trevor.

I think that your situation is rare. If you look at the postings here, people have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Bama. I'm not discounting what you said and I am sure it was a bad experience for you, but I would refrain from bad-mouthing a reputable company in your inaugural post (I see you have a total of 2).

I would also agree that a dyno tune is the best bet, but places like Bama and Brenspeed offer great products that the majority of customers have a high level of satisfaction with. I hope that your Stang is no longer ill.

I hope to see you around the boards.
