Hey guys,
I went back to the track this weekend, I got a few miles on it now( nearly 500 ) and I wanted to see what kinda improvements I could get from my tune and a AFE air intake.
My last run at the track was a 9.23 at 78 mph with a 2.18 60 ft. That was completely stock everything.
My best last night was a 8.84 at 81 mph with a 2.01 60ft. I ran a few more 8.8's and 8.9's but I couldn't dip below a 2.0 60ft. It also killed me to burn out my 18" Nitto tires so I really need to get some drag wheels and tires.
All in all .39 or just 4 tenth's improvement in the 1/8th mile is pretty good. I'm really starting to dislike my AFE intake though because of the bent up corner where I had to make it fit with the Roush relay pack so I may be selling it and buying a C&L. I have another manufactor's air intake on the way so I might see how well I like it too.
The main thing was I had a blast showing up all of the 99-04 GT's that were there last weekend running 9.0-9.20's and were taking turns beating me, I ran everyone and beat them all. I can't wait for some good lower controll arms, underdrive pulleys, and wheel/tires and I bet I'll be in the mid 8's.
later Doug.

It's Mike's fault he melted the plugs without tuning the car for it. He got a little overzealous. A strong supercharger will mess your car up too if you don't tune it properly.
