Autometer Electric Oil Pressure & Water Temps Gaug
#41
Is there a way to do the oil press and water temp with out having to tap into the engine metal? Just wondering for those of us leary of drilling into an aluminum block/manifolds. Can we not just tap or Tee into the existing locations?

the oil taps into an existing location where the stock sensor is. The water temp can be put on the driver's side of the engine there there's a bleeder screw already that's 1/4" NPT I believe. The water in that location will just be cooler than the water coming out the other side because that's where it goes into the engine instead of where it comes out. See my thread in my sig.

I believe that water tap is on the crossover tube, so it can't be much different than it is a few inches away.

Your right. At stand still i get around 210 and moving it goes down to 185.
That bleeder screw should be ok. Worked for me. Just put alot of plumbers tape or it will leak.
