OK - You guys talked me in to the Alt. Auto tune Will get it the day after Thanksgiving so I should have a little time to play with it. Hopefully it will live up to all the hype

Way to go Bill!! Getting rid of Ford's Torque Management makes the car feel like it has more power and I guess in a way it does.
Lidio told me that Ford would back out timing and close the throttle blade to 80% at all shifts at WOT. With that gone the car feels sooooooo much more powerful.

That's right but there are alot more tweaks and such to do rather then simply disabling the Torque Management. I actually don't disable it fully on my programs as it can cause clunking issues in the driveline on deceleration and low throttle conditions. Now at anything more then part throttle or certain acceleration rates I do along with completely remapping the throttle system charts.

Thanks, Doug.

You'll get plenty of support for both these guys... and you can't go wrong either way.

Obviously, I got mine from Doug... and I have no regrets!! Great service, awesome product!! And now that his personal car is an auto tranny... I can expect to benefit as he further refines his tunes.

I've posted in a few other threads... but want to here also... I got a tune from Doug at bamachips, and am 110% satisified. I even had a tuner with a dyno tune my car a few months back, and Doug's tune does burnouts around that custom tune. Doug owns an '05 auto, and obviously has tons of experience with it. And it shows. My car drives like it never has... it feels like my friends '02 Cobra that is a stick... great throttle response and virtually no lag at all. I think Doug is cheaper than Lidio also.

Purchase all three and keep the best one. Just make sure they are all for the same pipe. Which ever one you choose you will be a winner for sure. Its no longer about dyno numbers . Its all about getting from here to there in the shortest time. Having loads of fun a the same time.
Tony you will be happy when you sell the Predator.

+1... it took me a while to convince myself to switch, but I'm sure glad I did (especially with an auto trans car).

Don,
You are one of the biggest reasons I made the switch. I kept reading your's and other's post about Doug @ Bama and Lidio's tune for the auto. Finally I couldn't take it anymore. Went with Lidio because he is 3 hours up the road if I need help. It is simply amazing the difference between the C&L tune on the Predator and Lidio's with the SCT/X2. Thanks for convincing me there was something better out there for us auto guys!!
Scott

P.S. I will be needing some new tires in a couple of months because of this tune. Got any recommendations???

LOL... I'm probably the wrong guy to ask... I bet I go through tires faster than anyone here. I replaced the stock tires at 1300 miles. Now 10,000 miles later, I am on my 3rd set of Nitto 450s in the rear. But, I wore the first two sets out at the track... and the drag radials I have now should help extend the life of my street tires tremendously.

I wonder if we are two of the same hard headed mold? The loss is surely yours if yours is an auto.
If one has never tasted prime rib, lobster and such the never know what they are missing and Spam taste great.
