Anyone using the K&N CAI on your Stang?

K&N Air Charger

http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=63-2565

Just got one for Christmas and was wondering if you're happy with yours.
Any install problems with it?
No tune yet, I'll most likely wait till it gets warmer here in NJ before I get one.
Which ones are you using, if any?
Many Thanks
LJS

Giot it. Luv it. Easy Easy install. Requires no tune. BUT. I added some exhaust too, so I'm getting mine tuned soon. VMP local. a tune should be done to complete the package for maximum performance and efficentcy.

I had one. Ran it for about 3 months before I got a tune for it. I've recently switched to a C&L racer and as far as Seat of the pants feel I can't tell a difference between the two.

I have one on mine and I can really feel the difference. They say it adds about 15 to 16 HP, but have not dyno tested it yet. I did not do a tune, but I do know that it increased the gas mileage. We got 26 MPG on a road trip over to Road America and back last August running 70 to 75 MPH. I had one small problem with mine on installation. The air tube bracket that attaches to the valve cover was for a 2006 and my GT/CS is a 2007. Ford changed the design of the valve cover by adding additional structural tabs to the valve covers and the bracket did not work. I called K&N and they sent me a replacement and it fit perfect then. I am very happy with mine!

Yes, that's what I am afraid of, as I have a 2008 and the instructions that shipped I believe say either 2006 or 2007, it does not say 2008.
Though when I ordered it it said it was for a 2008.
So I guess I'll find out the hard way...
Thanks!

It had fit my 05 fine but not my 07 I think they mayhave redone them when I pointed that out to KC here and made mention to them , It works just fine without the bracket as well, I could have cut a small corner myself but decide it was ok without .

I ran mine for a few months without a tune.
No codes, but the A/F was rich.
My dynotune gave me more power and better MPG.
Stock SAE 271HP-- K&N without tune (rich)SAE 275HP
K&N with tune SAE 283HP &308 lb/ft
Uncorrected @52F temp 298HP &324 lb/ft

I was able to modify the bracket that came with the kit, until I got the replacement from K&N. I would not run the kit with out the bracket, not knowing how much vibration might take place and I would not want the intake to fall into the pully system
