Anyone Running FRPP Shortie Headers?

Rich- not trying to hijack, just trying to help..... These aren't the actual Ford version, they're the Steeda- but since Ford and Steeda work hand-in-hand they should be pretty similar. Here's the link:

Since they do not require you to remove any stock emissions equipment (e.g. cats or O2 sensors) they "should" be carb approved.
Don't expect much of a gain though. The stock exhaust manifolds are fairly well designed on these cars and the only significant improvements will come from long tube headers. Unfortunately no long tube or even mid length headers will allow you to keep the stock cats.
The biggest problem with shorties are that for several hundred dollars you are only going to see maybe a 10 hp gain at best.
NOT a good HP per dollar value.
For less money in some cases you might want to look at different muflers. Gains are about the same as shorty headers, emmisions legal and much easier to install.

One of the reasons I got shories was for looks. I also wanted to get new headers installed at the same time I was doing the rest of my exhaust, which could only be used with stock manifolds or shorties.
