I eagerly attempted to installed it, and quickly determined that contray to popular belief, there ARE changes to the 2007. The Single STB that DID fit over the Ford Engine Covers that are being retrofitted to 2005-2006's, will NOT fit over the Ford Engine Cover on the 2007. It wasn't even close to clearing the cover, and the mounting plates were not even touching the strut towers it was so high centered on the cover. I will be returning the STB as it won't work, but the folks at Granatelli were very helpful and understanding. Not sure what changes Ford made to the Strut Towers, but they did change something
Shi--t I just heard about this. I went to the dealership and noticed that the factory cover (as supplied by Ford) is about 1/2" taller then the aftermarket covers out there. I know our buillet bar clears it becuase we test fitted it here.

Congrads again, here's some nanners for ya!
I was just going to say that. We have the HD motor mounts that drops the engine .625" in the chassis

Update

Mine does rub the hood liner, but not as much as the strange one does, its just has minor indents right where the bends are to the left and right of the center of the bar.

You need to call directly and ask for the special deal.

I looked closely at a factory cover on a 2007 and the back near the firewall was already making an indent in the hood liner.

So, besides looks...with the Granatelli Single bar (or any single bar\dual bar for that matter) does anyone feel a noticable difference in handling or otherwise?

The earlier model Mustangs (from what I have been told) benefited more from the strut tower braces. I have had one on my car from the second month that I owned it and I noticed improved steering from the brace. It can't hurt!

I remember someone saying that the STB does have a left and right side and the torque is 24-26 ft lbs.

Check the manual.
46 is for the center, 26 is the bolts the braces attach to.

Got my ford factory engine cover today and put it on. The brace DOES NOT clear it. well sort of. It touches at the very center, can't even slide a business card between them. Not sure how over time with engine movement and such it might wear on the cover, but guess I'll see
I have an 05 GT

An update to my update. Jim at Granatelli experimented with the Single STB on a 2007 with the Ford Engine Cover, and called me today with the solution to make it work. The stud and nut combo they used to hold down the fuel rails on the 2007's make the cover sit about 1/2" higher than on previous years. The simple solution is to just temporarily take out the stud and nut combo, THEN mount the Ford Engine Cover, and then reinstall the stud nut combo on top of the engine cover mounting tabs. This lets the cover sit down further a good half inch, and provides plenty of clearance for the Granatelli Single STB to fit over the Ford Engine Cover. JR, please thank Jim, now I am a happy camper with my STB!
