I am looking into buying this pak as my wheel hop is getting on my nerves.

Anyone here having live expirience with Steeda's 'stop the hop' pak?
Cost: $300.00 plus shipping.

I've read in a recent post, that the FR package is crap and does not stop the hop, so I was wondering about Steeda's. Just don't want to waste money.

No experience with those products, but you might also want to check out www.bmrfabrication.com and see if they have something comparable.

 

I don't have that "package" but I've had those lower control arms for over a year now (almost 2 years actually) and they eliminated 99% of my wheel hop. I bought them from Brenspeed for like $200 delivered back then.

 

I don't have that package , but I do have their billet lower control arms and relocation brackets and they definitely helped with the wheel hop. I will probably add the upper 3rd link control arm later ...

It's a great, cheap mod if you ask me. Well not that $200 is cheap but you know what I mean hahahaa.

 

Not trying to be a thread buster here but what is the difference between the manuals and my auto? I have never had a wheel hop moment when I wanted to get frisky. Whether I was at stock HP and stock wheels or my present HP and the Nitto 275's. Hot weather or cold I have never had one hopping moment from my car. And I still have 100% stock suspension. While I cannot dump the power to the rear wheels at 5000 RPM like you guys I am just curious of why?? And this vid is my was just taken this past weekend and I am running my 275 Nitto's. Any explanation??

Many cars don't have a wheel hop issue. My auto vert never had an issue. My 5-spd coupe had only a tad of an issue which was stopped by LCAs, lowering springs, and a Panhard rod. They were all installed together, so I can't say that just the LCAs will do the trick. I know the upper mount and solid lowers is the way to go if you want less NVH. You will also be able to modify the pinion angle and I think that is what really "fixes" the hop.

 

You may want to get the adjustable uca instead of the fixed one so you can adjust pinion angle. You may need to if you lower your car or get a driveshaft. Also if you lower your car you should get the relocations brackets or you will be spinning tires a lot.

 

I have those exact lower control arms. They completely rid me of all wheel hop. I would also suggest going with the street adjustable upper third link instead tho. If you're gonna bother changing it might as well get one that will allow you to adjust pinion angle.

 

Personally, wheel hop increased after I lowered the car. That's why I will be looking into an adjustable uca, solid lca's, and relo's. I felt very little wheel hop with 100% stock suspension. I'm using a manual.

I have the Steeda pack on my car. Works perfect, just like its suppose to. I'd buy it again if I had to.
