Thumbs up

I got my '05 a few weeks ago and been noticing little things here and there that I've got questions about. First, my speedo needle doesn't go back to zero when I'm not moving, it'll stay around 2mph all the time until I move. Second, when I start moving there is a shuttering feeling.. sort of feels like wheel hop but not as bad. Only really noticable when taking off slow. Third, I have the factory active and passive alarm systems and the alarm light always blinks.. never shuts off, just blinks twice every 2 seconds regardless if the alarm is set or not. Is this normal?

Other than that, cd player skips on occasion (have the b-unit) and only had the pump shut off once on me when I went to fill her up.

Well, the only normal sounding thing you mentioned is the alarm light, which is supposed to keep blinking as a theft deterrent.

I got my car on August 3rd and have had the gas tank problem a couple of times, but only at select gas stations. I just always go to the same one that's close to me and never have a problem.

My speedo sits at zero just fine. No shuddering on takeoff but mine is a manual trans so if it did this, it'd be my fault anyway.

No fuel fill problems at 4 different stations so far. Active alarm LED blinks only when the car is shut down and doors closed (I've only noticed it when I'm in the garage having a last cig for the night looking my car over). Haven't read the book on how to set it or anything - just been driving.

Skippy has only skipped on me twice and I actually have some rough bumpy roads I have to use every day. Both times it happened in the first week only, at low volume on smooth roads, and it was accompanied by a static sound just priior to it happening, like something zapped it with a microwave laser or electron beam (those darn UFO's following me again!!!). That was in the first week and it's since been playing Nugent, ZZTop, Santana, Robin Trower at fairly heavy volumes with no skips on roads that make my lower back ache. Maybe Skippy wants more volume or works better with 'retro' music to suit the car???

I had this happen. But mine was after racing. When I posted that, someone else mentioned the same. Not sure if mine was from racing, or from the same reason you guys had it. Someone suggested I created a hotspot on the clutch.

My speedo needle always stays at about 2 or 3, and I have also, verified that my needles reads about 2mph high. I plan on having the shop look at this, when I get around to take my car in for the struts.

I picked mine up on August 4th. By the 6th I had installed a C&L, a predator tune, trunk release button, internal amplified antenna and engine start button. Since then I've installed the MotoBlue UD pulleys and a Jet Thottle body spacer. So far, I have not had any problems at all.

The only problem that I thought I noticed this morning was the radio skipping on one song. I have 5 CDs filled with MP3s and so far it it only skipping on one tune. I moved the CD to a different slot and the same song still skips, so it might be th CD itself.

No problem with the gas fill ups, no popping sound; guess I got lucky.

As Mustangspeeder says, the factory Active Anti-Theft System will show a blinking light as a deterrent and that the system is armed - this means the motion sensors and mass sensors inside the cabin are on (the engine must be shut off) - not awere of any seperate light for the passive system....arm it with the engine off and the windows down and when someone reaches inside the car - it will be set off and the car will sound and light up -

Wow...indoor trunk release, could you go into some detail on this I would love to have that feature, a major oversite on Fords part for sure in my opinion

How about push pins that dont stay in, I have 4, ...1 on each side on the rear seat kick panels on the bottom, 1 on the overhead plastic panel on the passenger side, located about straight up from the door lock, and rear bumper, right hand side just below the tailight.
