Any one running the 28" M&H Racemaster?

I went to the track for the first time this weekend and had a pretty disapointing time. I could not get the car to hook up. I'm sure it didn't help that I have summer compound tires and it was cold this weekend but I'm definitely looking at a set of wheels/tires to bolt on for future trips to the track (I need to redeem myself).

Here's what I'm looking at: M&H Racemaster drag radial in 275/50/17. This gives an overall diameter of 28". 1) will there be any clearance problems? I have a very subtle drop of 3/4" in the rear, but I can always swap the stock rear springs back in. 2) is this enough of a difference to require downloading a new tune? And 3) is anyone familiar with this tire and how well does it hook up? Thanks!

no clearance issues with those tires even with a 2 3/4" drop. Enjoy!

You'll only have to retune if you drive around on em often. The speed displays lower than what it really is.

They hook up well.

Great, thanks for the info! Btw, I ordered the line lock kit yesterday. Now I can finally get some traction.
