if so, what are your mods? ive got a C&L cold air, a bassani o/r x pipe and axle back, 4.10 gears, a tci stall and some nittos and once i get some stuff sorted out, i plan to run at least a 12.8 or so. i dont think thats unrealistic.

blazing saddles? yeah i saw his vid on modulardepot....sweet ride. and yeah i know hes running in the 12s NA....thats what im trying to see. what it took most people to get there.

I think I was a torque convertor short of getting to the 12's myself. Now we'll never know...

Don you need that HCI 3100 stall converter real bad. It will be interesting to see how long your differential holds up too. George has an Eaton and girdle on his. When I blow mine I'm getting the Detroit TruTrac.

Aaahhh... the eternal pessimist. haha. Sure, parts will break... and if they go, they go... that's racing! And I'm treading slowy but surely on the TC issue. I only want to do it once, so I want to do it right. 3100 may be high for twin screw.

hmmm....

JLT intake, 4:10 gears, relocated lower control arms and a less than perfect tine got me 13.1 @ 105 with NO TRACTION! on the stock tires. Mickey Thompson would have probably got me 12.7 - 12.8 before the Strange shocks and Long Tubes went in.

My Q when it was on its press tour at Steeda ran a 12.75 @ 107.83 mph naturally aspirated. STEEDA CAI, STEEDA Underdrive Pulleys, STEEDA Charge-Motion Plates, STEEDA SCT 93 Octane Tune, STEEDA/Borla Cat Back Exhaust, 4.10 rear gears and Detroit Locker differential.

my next time out will be at bradenton in march. haven't run since november and a lot of work has been done so i sure hope everything goes well. it seems really strong on the street but i have 0 traction now that it has been tuned for the converter.

what kind of weather did you have on that run. that's was awesome! you must have one good tune and run in mineshaft weather. my best with just gears tune and d/shaft was 13.30@103 60' was 1.99

Before I sold my G-timer, I had a 12.9 quarter mile run with the mods I have now.. minus the Bassani cats (I had the off-road Bassani X) and MMR heat shield. I know most don't trust timers, and obviously they aren't as accurate as the track. The HP ratings aren't too accurate on the G-Timer I admit, but the timer clock itself was almost dead on since I was getting 4.7 and 4.8 runs from 0-60 which is right where I should have been. Either way though, a 12 second n/a auto is very possible. And I don't think you necessarily need a tq converter either.

Don, have you used the G-Timer yet and compared it to your track times? I'd be curious to know if I do indeed have a 12 second car. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumb.gif[/img]

Yes, I used it at the 1/8-mi track one night, and on one run it was dead on (within 1/100 sec). On the other runs, it was usually within a 1/10 sec. I noticed that you pretty much have to hit the brake right at the finish line to be accurate (which is why the other runs were off). If you lift too soon or too late, it will skew the numbers. On the street, it is really difficult to know exactly when you've gone the correct distance. At the track, I had a hard time concentrating on the tree, while trying calibrate and stage simultaneously, so I haven't used it again.

Glad to see you are getting some use out of it. And it's good to know it's pretty accurate so I may be in the 12's now afterall. If not, the 4.10's will bring me there for sure.

4.10s + intake/dyno tune + drag slicks = 12s
