are all turbo kits off-road only?

I was looking at the Turbo-Horsepower kit and seen it is stated for offroad use only. What turbo manufactures if any are emissions legal? I live where they only do a safety inspection , but not saying I might move in the future where's I have to have the emissions testing done...

Thanks

The reason why they say they are for off-road use only is because they leave the vacuum line coming off your valve covers open and they put a breather at the end of it. They call that an open system. Where as the system i have i run the passenger side vac lines into a catch can and the driver side i run a check valve. They call this a closed system and therefore is considered emissions legal. So to sum it up not to sure about all systems being offraod use only. Hope this helps.

Yes it does, thanks for injecting your thoughts on the matter.. Do you feel a turbo is a slightly smaller strain on the motor than a centri s/c?

And that small little detail about them eliminating the catalytic converters...
