Set up looks good. I like the purge idea. Let us know how it runs!

Now if money grew on trees I'd be set......

Dan,

I'm in the Sacto area and ran at the track throughout the 70's and 80's. I'm interested in where you are getting your tune done?

I would not run that NOS untill you have found colder sparkplugs, Wich are not available yet.You will be running right on the edge of melting a piston or two.I know Jason ran 10.9 on the bottle but it was very conservative with extremely good tunning with profesionals.

75hp shot shouldnt be too bad, if he tried to run the 125-175 shots then there will probably be a big problem. The v6 can take a 125 shot with different plugs without blowing up... so far. (12.79 pass, no its not mine)

With jetting for a 75 shot there wont be an issue at all. I have also posted that i will be getting a good tune for this and that I know what I am doing and am being safe about it.

AlteredSpeed(.com) is doing my tuning and they are in French Camp, CA. Its an hour south of the raceway.

Hey, that's right in my neck of the woods so to speak . . . . thanks for the info Dan! I see they have a Mustang dyno, have you been on it yet? Do they have much experience with 05s?

Allright, it has been 2 weeks, when are you going to lay down some #'s at the track? I would like to know what other cars are running on 75hp. How much timing are you retarding if any, and is it from stock or your custom tune?

Altered Speed is great BTW, they are cool people that are honest to their customers.

With my 05 Mustang GT I brought about a best of 13.723 @ 101.485 mph without the use of the 100 shot of nitrous oxide. With the bottle I was able to improve that to a best of 12.926 @ 112.729. There is still more in the setup Im currently running but I'll address that another day.

My 60ft times were all about the same ranging from 2.0 to 2.1 and I was hitting the button @ about 3500 (in first) and auto shifting @ 6200. I did spin the tires on my last run when I hit the button @ 3000 and only did a 13 flat.

So... not bad for my first trip to the track EVER and with the stock wheels and tires (@ 40+psi) and few modifications. Im making 365rwhp @ 5850rpm and 336ft/lbs @ 5350 on a Mustang Dyno too with the n2o and 274rwhp @ 5600rpm and 264.8 @ 5350. We did notice the torque management sliping the converter so the numbers werent going to get much better without additional tuning.

Sacramento raceway rocks by the way, for my total of 8 runs I paid $45 and I could have done so much more but I knew the bottle was running low so the day came to an end @ 9:00pm.

The next route isnt quite smog legal but I have a few years till inspection so Im game.

If you guys want to see the long dyno run let me know cause its a huge file and about 2 minutes worth of footage.

My runs were done without any additional tuning over what DTP sent me for my JLT intake. Timing remained "stock" and the air/fuel ratio was a perfect 12.5 all the way across during the nitrous usage. The 75 shot wasnt very impressive and neted about 325hp so in went the 100 shot jets of 52N and 26F. NX recommended a 28 for the fuel but I didnt have one on hand.

I wanted 12s by the end of the day and that goal was met. Not bad for a car with my short list of modifications and street tires.

Has anyone found colder plugs for this yet? I sure would like to try the 125 shot. The Detroit Locker is getting installed this weekend along with a new clutch. This engine is over a year old.I can't believe no one is making a plug for it yet!

Still no colder plug yet and I feel the same pain. and :P

I have updated pictures of the trunk space too. I like this bottle mounting spot much better. It all now sits on a custom fabricated steel shelf with a billet mounting bracket for the bottle.

Enjoy!
