20" Shelby Razors - Tire options

I just bought a set of 20" Razors 40 offset and I wanted some opinions on tire options. I bought the rims used (with tires), and two of the tires look decent to use for the front tires, which are 255, 35, 20 General UHPs.

Should I go grab a set of the UHPs for the backs as well? I can run 275, 35, 20s for the backs, which is the widest (275) they make in a 35, 20.

Just wanted the experts to chime in on what setup for tires you guys are using on your Razored Stangs. I have read good and bad things about the Generals, but I hate to just toss two good tires.

If you are at stock height and have a 40 offset (20x9) the bigest you can put on is 275/35 with no issues my '06 GT had Eibach sportlines on it and my offset was 24 for the big brake set up and the bigest I could fit without rubbing was a 275/30 all the way around

Thanks for the info. I am looking to drop it down with a spring kit, but first I wanted to make sure it fit with stock height.

What about tire selection? Anyone have and advise on which tires to use? I have two good General UHPs, but have read some not too good things about them.

Plus, Im goign to run 255 35 20 up front and 275, 35, 20 in back. Any issues with different sizes I should consider. I have never did different sizes on my other cars I have owned, always kept all four wheels the same.

Thanks,
Mike

On my GT500 (it was lowered but not as bad as the '06 GT) I had 255/35/20s all the way around and my favorite tires are Nitto NT05s

9" 265/35/20 Nitto 555 tires all around. Recommended by Maverick here. No rubbing, quality look. I like'm.

You can fit 275/35/20 in the back no problem at stock height or with a 1.5 inch drop like I did on mine. I am running Nitto 555's with 255/35/20 in the front and 275/35/20 in the back. This gives the car a slight staggered stance as the height of the back tire is slightly taller than the front.

Check out www.onlinetires.com. Great prices!
