Almost got the car into the 11s NA. Weight is 3440 with me in it (I'm 165) and the usual bolt ons and cams. Car #24...

Nice times, but I'm really surprised that you didn't get into the 11's. Our cars are nearly identical on the timeslip, yet I ran into the 11's at our local track this past weekend. You had a better 60' and higher trap speed than I, so it's weird that you didn't go 11's??? Here's my slips from this weekend to compare against....

MT ET Streets (26"x11.5/15) at about 6000rpm. I'm launching at 6500 next weekend--to hell with my clutch. This hovering at 12.0x for two months now.

Well, you have an auto and supercharger, so the powercurves are likely just a bit different! Plus, I'm NA with a five speed, hovering at about 350hp. Next weekend I'm trying a track closer to sea level with air temps about 8-10 degrees cooler (Cecil County Dragway, MD).

Hooked well too, obviously:

Auto vs manual, yes. Just a basic non-cooled blower, though, that put down 364 rwhp last time on the dyno (just 14 more rwhp than you). My car is about 200 lbs heavier, so the 14 extra rwhp is a wash. Powercurve is different, true, but I have no low end torque (303 rwtq) and doesn't torque win races?

Your car is definitely fast for being N/A. Must be the time off the gas for upshifts that's the difference between our cars' timeslips.

What kind of aftermarket intake and cams do you have?

What are you running for your exhaust?

Those are some nice numbers!

Isn't it correct the centri's take time/rpm's to build HP? (sort of like a turbo vs a blower...)

I've been watching the Pro Mods on espn and one guy has a turbo vs some blown and some nitrous. He has won a couple of races against both configurations - but just barely. That turbo finally kicks in and he slingshots the other guy right at the finish.

Isn't a centri similar?

In theory, you're correct. Similar powerbands - turbo and centri. However, my car seems to buck the trend (likely the big stall converter and 4.10 gears, though). The OP's car launches hard like mine (actually, slightly better 60' time than mine), and he traps higher than me (115 mph vs 114 mph). So, he launches harder and finishes faster, leaving the middle of the track to explain why I get into the 11's and he doesn't (yet). His car is plenty fast and impressive, so it's just a matter of time until he nails 11's most every pass.

EXACTLY! We're stumped, but it is likely to be the 2-3 shift. I really need to data log and see what happens to rpm in between shifts. The shift light is at a high 6800rpms (wait, I THINK it is, time to check before Saturday!) so they shouldn't be dropping below the power curve. Or the car is pulling timing (we thought we'd dialed that out, but maybe not). The 12.01 came after improving the 1-2 shift, and that dropped me from the 12.19 previous best. I love rowing the manual's gears!

Who's heads? Missing from your line up. For a manual guy you must be a **** good shiftman. I am an auto guy also and it is hard to believe anyone could shift a manual as fast but you my man are getting real close!!

With the gears/tires you must be shifting into 4th shortly before the finish? I was with manual, 4.10s, and 325/17 drag radials. That extra shift could be slowing you down just enough (for now).
