Street Race Poll
#42
I was standing on a corner in NYC Monday night, waiting to cross the street. Someone decided to run across from the other side. A cab hit him hard, vaulted him 15 feet through the air and he landed head first at my feet. A very sobering incident.
Racing stoplights just seems absurd to me. Too confined a course with too many variables for mishap.
But give me some open and empty road and all limits are off. I didn't buy a Mustang to drive the speed limit. My daily commute means left lane at 80 even if I take the minivan. I may be older and hopefully wiser but I know given the right situation I'm going to have to test the limiter.

Empty roads, sure, punch that sucker and go all out... but in residental areas I usually do just above the limit. If I see those darn slow kids playing, I slow down...

I will not race my first mustang. Heres the reason. My future stang will be too valuable for me to race, I will only race in the .25 mil track.
Another reason, I follow the law.
