shaker 500 vs. 1000

I was going to order the 500, but ended up getting one off the lot that had the 1000. Personally, I liked the fact that I didn't have to go aftermarket, and also that you can disable the trunk subs with a button on the head unit.
I'm sure you can get more power for less money aftermarket, but I really wasn't interested in going that route.
Now if someone would just figure out the AUX input already, so I can hook up iPod up!
