Boxter S bites the dust!
Two runs on empty road light to light. First run - I'm in front, Boxter S (new model) From a dead stop, 0-80, I gained about 4 car lenghts. Second run - Boxter S in front (turkey did a rolling start from the light) - punched it - he got about 2-3 car lengths right off the start and I gained every bit back before we got to 80! It was fun. After the second run, he and his wife or g/f pulled up beside and we gave each other 2
Boxter S is very close to the GT. Stats I found for the 2005 Boxter S: 5.2 seconds from 0-60, quarter mile in 13.6 at 104 mph. I'm smiling
.
And I have an Auto 100% stock
If we went the 1/4, he may have beat me - but I don't know. I was really made up the distance fast when he did the rolling start and we shut down around 80. He got me a bit there because I thought he was going to nail it at take off, and he didn't, so I let off and then heard him punch it! But to no avail for him

Thats awesome. You've gotta love the mustang for that. What is the hp for those Boxer's?

Engine - 3.2 liter dual overhead cam flat six
Horsepower 280
Torque 236 lb feet
0-60 mph 5.1 seconds
1/4 mile 13.7 seconds @ 102 mph
60-0 mph 122 feet
And the big difference is Weight 2,965 pounds.
A lot of people trash the Boxter S as a great handling car but slow for a Porsche - however, if you can't tell, I am very proud that my GT had the guts to handle it
The new Mustang is fantastic, even without mods
