I think this argument is about looks, which are subjective. Though the Bullitt was a great car for it's day a brembo brake equipped 2011-12 GT is light years ahead of it in performance and comfort. I like many here am not a fan of the rear of the 2010-12 cars but the overall performance difference along with the fact that a used 2011 GT with similar mileage sell for more or less the same as a 2008-09 Bullitt make it the better bargain. I would never cross shop a Bullitt with a new 5.0 but that is me. On the other hand I would cross shop a 2007-09 GT500 with a 5.0, I still feel that the 5.0 has better build quality but its hard to argue with 500+HP. The bullitt has a cool look but it gives up over 100HP to the 5.0 along with an extra gear, fuel economy and superior interior quality... too much to sacrifice in my opinion choosing the Bullitt over the 5.0!

Though the Bullitt has a somewhat unique interior it is not that unique, kinda like my 03 Cobra over a GT of the same year. Even though I have better seats and a different instrument cluster than a GT it isn't all that different. Those bashing the 2010-up interior really need to drive one for an extended period of time the quality if much better than anything before it.

Well, i cant think of nothing!! hand built forged motor, awesome tranny!!!! Thats all i need!!
+1

I think the big difference in opinion is looks. I also prefer the look of the 2007-09 GT500 over the 2010-12 models. On the other hand I still feel that if a newer model could be had for the same price that the 2011 is the better overall car despite the fact that I think the 2007-09 model is better looking.

I agree. I had 2 08's and there is no comparison to the feel, sound, build quality of the '11 I have now. No way I could go back to the '08s and be satisfied while driving, it would constantly be in the back of my mind.

No V6 in the Bullitt

The Bullitt had an upgraded GT 4.6 V8, not a V6!

Special tweaks:

Adaptive engine controls - recognizes use of premium fuel, which advances timing and increase in HP/Torque when premium is used. First application.

Different crank damper, increases redline to 6500 from 6250

Factory CAI - much improved design compared to Shelby GT version.

End result was a 315 HP rating compared to the 300 HP GT.

This engine combo became the 2010 GT engine.

I think he was making a comment about the V6 during the '08-'09 model years, not about the Bullitt's V8. And as he owns one, I think he'd be kind of in touch with the specialties of that engine :-)

Always gonna pick the newer Mustang over the older ones due to the interior improvements.
