Why would that be a burn? What do you think GTO stands for?

yeah the GTO is a good car. but they should have called is something else. just like ford should come up with a new name for their SE's

Considering goats are being marked down $5k plus employee discount, plus however well you haggle, you could conceivably get one for around the same price as a well equipped stang GT. And when money is taken out of the equation, the GTO is the superior car.

Same goes to the GTO, but they went with the latter idea thus it flopped.
Amazing how an name has such a big impact eh

Superior car?
OK....
it has 1.4 liters more
100hp more
80lb-ft torque
but....
0-60 is the same as the mustang GT
and its only .1 sec faster in the 1/4 mile.... i don't call that superior for a car that has an msrp of $6,665 more than the mustang GT
the car has less space and still weighs more too.. 7cubic feet of trunk space compared to 13cubic feet i believe...
