Yea, I was next in line to pull out and was watching you get staged-up, you only needed a few more seconds and you would have got turned loose on that run! I waited around for it to stop raining, it only lasted about 15 minutes or so, but the damage was done by then. They did say to hang on to your stub and they would do rain-check on 8/4. If I don't see you before then, I hope to see you there.
Yea, I have to get away from the dumping thing and was going to do like you say on that next run. I did launch at around 2200 or so the first run, but is was still a dump. Hardly any hop but it bogged right away. That is why I went up to around 3K, not as much bog but more hop. Oh, and I did have TCS on the first 2 runs. I just wanted to see how it worked under race conditions. This is what test & tune night is for, right? It was off on #3 and the launch actually felt better, less bog anyway. Problem with that run was that 2-3 shift wound up being a 2-5 shift
Oh well, I had a good time. Met some cool people and I learned some things about me and my car that need improvement. I'll work on both and go back and have a blast.

Not bad for your first time.

I used to run 13.9's with my 99 Mustang GT

In Motor trend they managed a 13.2 out of a stock M3 compared to the 05 Mustang GT with a 13.5.

Stock for Stock the M3 is the faster vehicle.

The 2005 is just to darn heavy!
I can't beleive Ford let the Mustangs weight top the 2002 F-bodies weight... shame on them.

 

I found out today why I ran a 13.8 instead of atleast a 13.2... A buddy of mine in Jersey runs 13.1 in a stock M3 just like mine. the key phrase was Jersey. Heat and humidity kill us in Florida. But he also gave me a few pointers to get my times down a little I should be able to pull a 13.6. Guess we'll find out in Aug.

I think the older M3's bodystyle speaking are nicer, a little more agressive

but you have a nice ride Uber.

 

Mustangs did pretty well against the BMWs in the twisties in the Grand Am road race series.
Mustangs win Grand Am Cup Championship
