You have to be a pimp or mentally imbalanced to pick that color!

I put a deposit down on an 04 Mystichrome Cobra tonight. It's looks have more "ooh and ahh" appeal, then even the new 05. (My opinion) It is a little flashier than I'd like, but the wife loves it.
I got a great deal. X-plan and $2500 cash back, but it's still about $5000 more than a loaded 05 Mustang GT. The dollar per horsepower spent favors the Cobra.

[/b][/quote]The color does grow on you, but I'd prefer Black or Yellow. It's a compromise with the wife that I'd easily do again to drive such a great car.
A little update after having the car a week:
I love the Cobra. It is one helluva machine. I forgot how much fun it is to have a daily driver and manual tranny Mustang. My 93 is much faster in a straight line, but it's pretty much a single purpose car. The 04 Cobra handles like a dream, has the instant torque of a big block, and is a well polished pony car. The seats are super comfortable.
All in all, if you had to make a choice between the two, I'd say the only areas that the 05 Mustang GT is better than the Cobra in is:
1.) Exhaust Note, the Cobra has super silent exhaust. The GT has a good exhaust note. This can be easily corrected for $400 and I can pick up 25 RWHP. Stock vs Stock the GT wins hands down.
2.) Stereo, the Mach 460 is a joke compared to the Shaker 500. I'm not much of a audiophile, but the Mach 460 has some distortion at "moderate" listening levels. I jammed to Stevie Ray Vaughn during my GT test drive. The sound quality was completely clear even above normal listening levels. For some reason I thought my Mach 460 in my 95 Cobra performed better than the 04's Mach 460.
Every other area the Cobra wins hands down, but I would expect this out of a car with a $34,575 MSRP vs a $27,000 MSRP. (I paid X-Plan, plus I had another $2500 in rebates) The power is absolutely intoxicating. When I drove the auto GT it was "peppy", but the Cobra is "Holy Caca, Hang On". :worship: The Cobra handles better than the GT, although I didn't get a chance to really romp on the GT during twisties. The six speed has better gear ratios 1st - 4th, but the 2 overdrives are pretty worthless. I usually skip 5th and go 4 to 6.
I would encourage everyone that's interested in an 05 GT to go test drive a left over 04 Cobra (if the dealers will test drive them). A X-plan or invoice price Cobra with $2500 to $3500 of rebates is not a lot more than a MSRP GT.
It is a good time to be a Mustang guy! Cheap Cobras and great GT's.

My decision every day (if the wife lets me drive her car):
