Ford is also expanding the employees' discount incentive program to include some of its 2006 model-year pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles.

That's because they are almost depleted. The Chev / Chrysler store across the street from us looks like they are going out of business. I think I counted 2-3 chev cars on the lot. they still have a FEW trucks but nothing like they usually stock. As far as their Chrys inventory, I bet they don;t have more than 12-20 new units.
This is a good sized store.

DETROIT -- General Motors Corp. will offer its employee-pricing discount plan through Sept. 6, a dealer confirmed Tuesday, reversing an earlier decision to end the program after Ford Motor Co. and DaimlerChrysler AG decided to extend similar discounts.
John Rogin, who owns dealerships in Michigan and Ohio, said GM will continue to offer employee prices on 2005 models. Rogin said he has only a two weeks' supply of 2005 vehicles left after two months of discounts. Most large dealers have a 30-day supply, he said.
"They can't slow the momentum, and what are you going to put on the '05s to get rid of them?" Rogin said.
A GM spokeswoman wouldn't immediately confirm that the deal was being extended.
GM was the first of the Big Three to offer employee prices for all consumers in June. GM's sales shot up 41 percent that month, and rose again in July. GM and other automakers were scheduled to release July sales figures later Tuesday.
Ford and DaimlerChrysler followed with their own employee-pricing plans in July. All of the plans were scheduled to end Aug. 1, but Ford announced Monday that its plan would continue through Sept. 6. Ford also is offering employee prices on some 2006 models, including the Lincoln Navigator.
DaimlerChrysler said Tuesday that it's extending employee pricing on most 2005 Chrysler vehicles, along with up to $3,500 in additional incentives on some vehicles. Chrysler didn't give a deadline for that promotion to end, saying it was in effect as the company continues to sell down its remaining 2005 vehicles.
GM said last week that it planned to end its discount Aug. 1. On Monday, the company announced a new pricing strategy intended to wean consumers from incentives, saying it will lower prices on 30 of its 76 vehicles in the 2006 model year.
So I gotta question:
Whats the difference between the A Plan (Employee Discount) and the X Plan? Which one will give you the cheepest price on a vehicle?
Id have to guess the A Plan would since its for direct employees; though I'm not sure to who all is the X Plan offered to. I have to oppertunity to use the X-Plan through my job when getting an '05 Mustang which the Employee Discount for everyone cant be used on; but I was just wondering what would be the difference if I was considering to get something else.

A-plan is a lot less than x-plan. On a super duty diesel for example if say invoice is $40,000, x-plan would be $39,800 and a-plan $38,400 or so [these are approximates as I am at home now and don;t have actual invoices in front of me}.
