Additional $500 retail cash for 07 Mustang GT's with automatic

Ford has added an additional $500 retail cash on all 2007 Mustang GT's with automatic. for a total of $1000. This will be in effect from Nov. 17th 2006 through Jan. 2nd 2007.

Funny thing is Ford charges more to order an automatic. Sounds like they need to revise their mix of manuals and autos.

I wish they had a larger rebate for the manual... $500 is a mere pittance compared to the $5,000 cash rebate offered on the 2007 Grand Marquis!

I look at it as paying $200+ to buy an auto, because Ford issued a $500 rebate for auto/manual GTs on 10/3/06. They tacked on an additional $500, which doesn't fully cover the $730+ 5R55S option.
