Got the car back with ARH LTH w/catted H-pipe installed. Today I switched out the stock strut brace to the BMR version and installed StopTech slotted rotors on all four corners. Test drive had some unexpected results. Hard braking resulted in front tire lock up and rear dancing, with increased rear bite I might go to lower friction pad to decrease rear bias. I think the brake system over powered the tires but that could be because they weren't up to temps yet. All in all I think the changes were improvements. Any recommendations or advice on the brake scenario I described are welcomed?
It's heat related most likely. Try it again with tires up to temp

morning dmichaels, the headers are amazing. Great build and quality materials. They give the right amount of grunt (especially above 3k rpm) for me sound wise and aren't obnoxious (loud for no reason). I still have my stock resonators and gt500 axel backs so it's pretty tame but the ARH roars when I need it :-)

As for brakes, I remember getting rear end wagging left to right when I had too little rear bias, and when one side of the rear was not installed correctly. The rear piston was pushing on the peg on the bottom of the pad, it wasn't sitting flush against the pad.

I'll figure out the rear brakes soon when I switch them out because I ordered new pads. Right now they're making a metal noise but I wasn't sure if that was because I put in the new rotors and the pads were settling
I just finished an event at Grattan. It was a good "brushing off cob webs" exercise and car control via shuffle steering looking back at the camera footage.
Next up is Gingerman, which is tough on tires and brakes. Speaking of brakes, after Gingerman I expect my XP10s up front to be toast. And 8 days after it's Mid Ohio, which has one huuuge brake zone. I'm curious to try other pads. So I will be swapping to Raybestos ST43 pads up front while keeping XP8s in the rear. I'll post impressions after.

So that's a BMR strut brace, eh? I have one that looks just like it, bought it used from a guy in Connecticut, he told me he had it fabricated locally . . . don't know why he would lie about that; strange . . .

So did you ever find yourself wondering if 3mm of front pad lining is enough for the next event? Well, with XP10s I found out the answer is NO. They actually did fine in the 7 sessions, but fell apart right after. I had to change them on the road side 120 miles from home. The friggin backing plates bent too. Glad I pulled over to change them out, otherwise the rotors would probably be toast too.
So now I've got Raybestos ST-43 in the front. We shall see how they do at Mid Ohio next week.
Also the Hankooks have gotten significantly grippier, and I backed off on how hot I go into corners which helped too. I find the grip of the tire is contributing to more speed scrub in the corners, so I find that I'm on the throttle way before the apex now too.
So I finally swapped out my Raybestos ST43s pads to my street setup (now Akebono Ceramic street pads) and as I'm swapping them out I noticed this gouge in the pad. I noticed some on at least one pad of each caliper, with this being the worst.
Is this normal?? I have had these pads in for 3 weeks. 1 track days and ~600 street miles.

i have not seen anything like that in my setup. That's strange... doesn't look like they're overheating, any difference in noise or braking performance?
