Vert owners does your top leak?
#1
Well I don't own one yet but the closest thing I get to owning a new Mustang is driving my older sister's GT Vert. As part of the bargain I agree to wash and clean all her crap out of the car, not a bad trade IMO. Well today I didn't have time to wash it by hand so I ran it through a touchless car wash and the top leaks bad when the high pressure wash comes on. Has anyone else experianced this? This is the first Vert I have ever really driven so I don't know if this is typical of all verts or not.

Matt-
No I am not planning on getting one this is my sister's car she picked up in texas two weeks ago. Since she doesn't really take care of cars very well (her lexus RX330 is trashed) I am taking it upon myself to make sure this car stays in good condition. When I cleaned the interior she already had her kids take a crayon and pen to certain places in the backseat. :nono:
Personally I am more of a fan of the GT Coupe because I think the lines are a little more classic but thats just me, hoping to be buying one as soon as I can get out from under my 2000 GT (stupid credit).

We have had our car for 3 week and we have had our share of rain but no leaks. What I do notice is the lack of rain gutters-when you open the door you can get water running down on the seat from the roof.

I have had one "leaking episode" during a hard rain, but I think it may have been that the top was not sealed properly, or that a window was not rolled all the way up (both "user error")
....only happened one time, haven't noticed it since. (BTW...when I picked the car up from the dealer, it was raining and rained hard for 4 days straight and I had no leaking at all.)

Had our car for two weeks and have driven in real heavy rain, also have used a touchless, hi pressure car wash with no leaks resulting.
As 02gtstangvert said I also have a '02 vert that had two spots that did leak bad. But the new one no where.
