Do you wash your stang at night?

I ask because I wash my stang at night, and occasionally people passing by are curious why I do it. In my case there are several benefits.

I live in an apartment complex so by washing at night it minimizes the foot traffic past my car as I wash (long story, but I almost ended a 4 year old's life who tripped over the hose and dove head first into my bumper). It also gives me more time to wash since I don't have to worry about the sun drying the car before I do. After the initial wash I pull the stang into my garage and clean any spots I missed.

Anybody else do this?

Yup. I take mine to a local manual-wash station and almost always wash at night.

My reasons are several
1) Less people. Don't have to rush, can dry in the bay and take my time as I'm not holding anyone up.
2) Cooler.
3) Only time I have time to do it.
4) Gives me a reason to drive my stang at night.

I do mine closer to sunset, especially in the summer months. Only downside is the mosquitoes are worse than during the day.

I only washed my 95 @ home. Going to say by hand, it's all done by hand!! I used to as sun was going down. I wanted to buy a light & put on roof to shine. Haven't really thought of this on my new one. So, thanks!

I wash it a little before sunset so its nice and cool but the bugs haven't come out too bad yet.

I do occasionally, mainly when I run out of daylight because I'm washing several cars at once, or because I slept most of the day away (I work nights). I prefer to wash in the later afternoon or early evening though, as washing in daylight helps to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I wash mine at night, parked in the garage with all the lights on with hot water yet. BTW my garage is also my basement and it stays pretty cool down there even in mid summer

Forgot to list my reasoning! I was washing it in the summer. @ night, soap doesn't dry out as fast! I only wash 1 1/4 @ a time, can't move around so well now! Just not as hot when sun starts going down

Most of the time, as the sun is setting. Gives me more time to dry so i don't have to worry about water (hard water) spots.

I sometimes do mine early in the morning. I'm an early bird especially in the summer.

Wash mine at night at the car wash I hand wash it. That foam triple shine works great and brush with very soft bristles. And drive home. Bc it's nighttime I'm air drying and no sun/ waterspots.... It works
