So today i decide to wash my car, since it is 50 out. Well, after i pull out of the shade i see that the car really isn;t clean at all. Used the Mr clean auto dry. I like it, except for the fact that my hose sucks. I think it would have gotten the car clean if i had spent much more time scrubbing the dirty areas, but hard to do when you are getting soaked.

I just find it incredibly hard to see all the really dirty spots once i wet down the car. A normal rubdown makes it look just fine. Until it gets dry and you can see it in the sun that it is still dirty!!!! AHHHHHHH! I hate Connecticut and that they put copious amounts of salt on the roads. I dont; even drive in the snow, just that the salt will stay on the roads until spring.

Try washing a grey car with salt on it. The only way you can tell if it's clean is if it's glossy when it dries. It was leopard spotted yesterday and has a light grey tint over it today.

For me, the key to success is using very warm water.

It's a bit of a pain to have to go into the kitchen to keep adding hot water.

But the results are worth it.

Washing with ice cold water out of the hose just doesn't get the job done. Heat that water up, and even a dreary February day like today can produce a nice clean car.

You have to be careful that the water isn't too hot or you could create problems with rapid heating and cooling of the glass or metal.

And be careful you don't slip on ice afterwards.

Heh I get to wash mine inside, 3 times a week with warm water, all the supplies you could want, compressed air, deionized water with power washer, carpet vacs and shampoos. One of the good things about working at a dealer
