I recommend if you're going to buy a ca cover, buy the softestone out there. I got mine from Eastwood and it's ultra soft and good for either indoor or outdoor use. It even protects against moisture (like rain and light snow). You'll pay more, but in the end I think you'll be happier!

I KNOW you're talking about car covers here but this could also describe my first divorce.

I picked up a car cover at Walmart for $40. - to be used as a dust cover in the garage. I cut the elastic off from around the bottom because there is no need for it to fit so tightly. It is also much easier to put on without the elastic.

How soft is it. I just need a dust cover, so soft is the only requirement.

I don't know if you would call it "soft", but it is very light-almost like paper. I only put it on the car after it has been washed and never when it is even slightly dirty.

I bought a WeatherShield HD from Autoanything(covercraft) and it wasn't good. Didn't fit my 06 with a spoiler, too short. No protection from the short exhaust tips. Thin fabric with NO under side cloth protection. The seem where the spoiler is rubbed on my spoiler and caused a little mark in the clear coat. This was caused by the cover being too short for the car. When I would have it totally covering the front bumber, it would be off the exhaust tips and on the rear bumber. When I would pull it so that it covered those, it would come off the front bumper.

I sent it back to have them add felt to those seem areas and the cover came back to me fillthy and also seemed like a different cover because it was holding water instead of repelling it.

I send pics and explained what the problem is and aa returned my money with the condition that I re-order but I'm not doing that yet. Trying to get peoples opinion on what they liked.

At first this cover repelled water awesomely(is that a word?). But after I got it back it didn't. So I guess I would sort of recommend this cover but beware it doesn't fit very well. Also it doesn't stay on very well in the wind. It's come off everytime I've left to go on vacation!!!

Maybe it was just mine. Anyone else hear of this???

How protective is this cover? Is it waterproof? Does it actually fit the car? Does it have any protection from the sharp OEM exhaust pipes?

HELP!!!
