Car cover for the '05
Just planning ahead as I still have to wait on my black GT like so many other people in 'hover' mode.....
I am shopping for a new townhouse right now and of course, one of the requirements that is holding me back from not having one yet is the fact that I MUST have a garage - the GT will NOT be sleeping outside if I can help it. (holding things up for me and my real estate agent in the house search but I have no doubt it will be worth it).
But my current problem is - just found out my company is moving come February -good news its only right up the street. BAD news is, there is NO covered parking. Where we are now, at the time I get in in the morning, you are guaranteed one of the small number of spots reserved for the company in the parking garage we share with another company.
So a cover is essential - I had an official FORD one for my 88GT but my brother got that for me as a gift (I never bought it) so I want to see what my options are. I of course don't want to skimp on it pricewise (car is obviously worth protecting), BUT I want to try and not spend a HUGE chunk of cash on it (say, the amount I can turn towards getting those sweet looking stripes for my GT like the ones in orthoman's thread
)
Anyone have any suggestions?....
Thanks in advance!!!

I know there are many people much more dedicated than I am, but I had a car cover for my S2000, and after about the first month I quit using it... It was just too much of a pain. Put it on, take it off, on, off...etc.
But since you said you already had one, I assume you have used it and are more dedicated than I. More power to you.

I bought my car cover and in the week I've had my new baby I haven't put it on once...I don't even know how to put it on. I'm going to attempt it tonight though, it will become more imperative when it starts snowing.

I've got the FOMOCO cover also. I also bag the car for the winter although with modern cars it's not really neccesary.

Parts dep. manager at a local Ford dealership told me that Walmart car covers are just as good in quality as fords, but for a lot less in price.
Can't justify, because I haven't checked it out yet. But I guess it's worth a shot!

I ordered the cheaper of the two Mike.....The "Better" cover is supposed to have better outdoor protection. This cover will work perfectly for me. Also bought the FOMOCO cover for the "Exact " fit .

I ordered a car cover from Ford when I ordered the car. It's in,
but the car isn't. Cost $222.00

I wonder if it's a good one.
I will be keeping the car inside so it don't need to be much.
I'm sure that NPD or California mustang will have something soon.
My dad ordered a 2005 Ford cover for my car, not sure which one, and heck, they haven't shipped it to him yet. He bought it (COVER) as a birthday present for me, and here we are, over a month later, and still no cover.
But I have my car....
