I have a black top, and I would love to know something to treat it with. I used Armor All on the last top, and it did last a long time (8yrs sitting out) but it did turn kind of a grey color is you did not keep the product on it. Plus everytime it rained, it was a mess...When I replaced it, the owner of the shop that installed the new top said to never use any silicone based products like ArmorAll on it. He said to wash with a mild cleaner and keep it out of the sun as much as possible to make it last, but there has got to be something you can out on there things.
Someone could make a fortune if they could come up with some sort of UV protection product for convertible tops. I would buy it!

I've heard about this Meguiars #39 and #40 but I can't find it anywhere. In the manual there's a Motorcraft product they recommend that I heard works pretty good. I know they always have Motorcraft stuff in the manual but I'm willing to give it a try. Anyone try it?

only motor craft stuff I ever used was there leather care. it worked fine but nothing special. I guess I am going to start checking auto parts stores for something. I hate to orer something like this online, because I want something I can go an pick up easliy when I run out.

Just saw someone recommend this kit in an older thread -

303 Convertible Top Cleaner and 303 Aerospace protectant.

http://www.autogeek.net/303vincontop.html

I just ordered some. Hopefully it works well.

303 or RaggTop cleaner and protectant are a must for convertible tops! I use RaggTop and have on my last couple and its my preference... and also what the material maker, Haartz, recommends for it. Others here prefer 303.... I just say you should use one or the other for sure!
