Remember that different pads exist for different applications. Polish pads and wax pads are different. You can use one for the other, but generally speaking it helps to use the right one as application will be better and easier.

 

Yes, I need to get a hook and loop pad for the polisher and then a few pads to attach to that. Speed setting on the pads should be low speed correct?

 

no not necessarily. for paint correction you need to build up heat between the pad and paint, so higher speeds will be needed. I typically apply polish to the panel at low then speed up as I start 'polishing'.
