Here is the definative answer from Ford about the 05 Leather Seat issue.

Thank you for contacting the Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center, inquiring about the leather vs. vinyl on the seats of your 2005 Ford Mustang.

We apologize for the delay in replying back to you on this inquiry. We have been experiencing a high volume of research requests, recently. We have researched your inquiry and the following is the result of our research: The seating surface area of the front seats, i.e. inserts and bolsters, are all leather. The sides and back of the seats and the head restraint are vinyl. The rear seats are all vinyl.

We consider the satisfaction of our customers one of our most important objectives. If you have any other inquiries or concerns, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to address them for you.

End of story

Interesting. One might consider the way this isn't common knowledge to be a bit deceptive. I think most folks presume a salesman saying "leather seats" to mean "leather seats", although reading the brochures carefully, it does say leather seating "SURFACES", so I guess Ford is in the clear *shrug*

Well, moving past Ford's deceptive marketing, who knows of any good vinyl cleaner?

Ok..so they are saying that only the FRONT seats and for that matter, the actual seating portion of the FRONT seats are leather?? Wow...I've been using the Pinnacle leather cleaner/conditioner on ALL of the seats... Now I have to put the Pinnacle vinyl protectant on the sides/back of the seat, and the leather conditioner on the front...Well, I guess I've been wasting some product..

Thanx for this post..

P.S. Anyone have any creases in their leather seating surfaces? I've got some on the bolsters and in the corners.
