I have seen someone that had chains on the front wheels of a old Chevy or something. The owner must have modofied that car..

I grew up near Whistler BC driving the sea to sky highway, regardless of drive wheels, chains on the front help your tires bite into the ice giving you better control during turns of any speed. I still wouldn't put them on my mustang of any year

What one really needs for that drive is a BMW X-Drive where it verys back to front as each wheel senses the need for power so it goes from axle to axle

I had one and it was a fun car. Could have used more power and RWD, but you could toss it around easily. Interior materials were nicer than the current Mustang, and it was very reliable. No pin you to the seat power, but an enjoyable ride.
