What did you do with your Mustang today?*
I tried to drive mine to work yesterday, it didn't want to go there apparently.
On the highway, cruising along, started hearing a rattling noise from under the car, banging noises when slowing down, any gear, any speed.
Engine still running fine, trans shifting OK and feeling OK.
Pull over, don't see anything dragging under the car, no parts on the ground.
Try to putt-putt it back home, quickly becoming late for work, stopped at a local shop to have them put it up in the air, hoping it's just something loose like a trans mount or driveshaft safety loop, everything looked tight, but the driveshaft was making some interesting noises:
So I spent this morning putting the car up on jack stands and trying to remove the DSS driveshaft, come to find out I don't have the 8mm allen-head sockets I need to remove the rear bolts.
Allen wrench I have, but don't have enough leverage under there to use it

Yesterday, I installed Christmas gifts. Steeda A arm brace and pre-painted mirror caps. The mirror caps look like they belong there from the factory, and visually shrink these huge mirrors. I love em'.

Drove mine for the 3rd time in 3 days (big deal for me). Also spoke to my shop about the pending cams situation. We're still between either a custom grind or off-the-shelf(OTS). As far as OTS, we thought we might've been getting somewhere because they finally heard back from a few customers on what they were running. One in particular had a set that didn't suffer any loss in the low-end. Well, both people they heard back from had entirely different HP/TRQ curves -- but both claiming they had Comp Cams NSR Stage II. So somebody must be mistaken...
The machine shop that would be doing the custom grind has been closed for the holidays, but they reopen next week. Then we should hear a price back. Turns out they're actually one of the best shops in the metro area, so I'm actually pretty excited to hear back from them

Got under it and finally removed the DSS driveshaft adapter that was stuck on the factory pinion flange.
Had to use a small puller to get the dam thing off, but it's finally off, and tomorrow I can finally put the factory driveshaft back in.
Maybe I'll even drive it again sometime soon.
