Took her for her annual "MOT" (Ministry of Transport) test. This is an annual test for all cars in the UK over 3 years old, to ensure she's safe for the road. Takes about an hour.

She passed with no advisories

Paul

I'm assuming your Mustang is LHD. Did MOT require any emmisions or safety mods when it was brought into England?

It’s an easy install, with a 10mm and 1/2” socket. Comes with clear/concise instructions and takes around 20-30 minutes working by yourself. Took me longer to remove the decals and the underlying sticky residue before actually starting the install, Lol

last night, I shipped off my fogs to get retrofitted to try out this other more reputable vendor (recommended by folks on this forum). Wish me luck. Details in my other thread.

Haha....thanks Burton. But.........she's up there, in neutral with no handbrake (sorry, e-brake) on! It has to be that way for when they test the suspension components

No emissions or safety changes, but we do need to modify the lights, slightly. Hard to see, but I have small LEDs under the side view mirrors that act as turn signals and I have a one section of each rear light modified to act as a fog light (dual filament bulbs). Plus, my reversing lights are now used as turn signals, with amber bulbs..........so I now have no reversing lights. Crazy, but legal!

Wow... they have to test SUSPENSION components annually there in England? Fascinating. I can't imagine the U.S. doing that. I bet over 1/2 the vehicles on the road would fail that. Have you seen the POS's that people drive around here?

I was talking more the POS's like my 1981 Escort rusty wagon I had when I was in highschool. Apparently in England, even 16 year olds must drive new-er cars. LOL

Yeah and ask Paul how much their insurance is a year. It is literally outrageous.

I went with the middle choice. It look me longer to find my tools than to install them. So easy a caveman can do it!!!

Best $85 I've spent on my car.

Thanks guys! I use to have the MMD style ones on my old stang and those were a pain to install, making sure the hood was still in line. When I saw the redline ones the looked way easier to install.

My MRT ones were super easy to install too. I chose them because they open the hood higher plus I get the body colored (kona) brackets

That was the brand MRT! My problem with them was that they attached to the hood hinges, which after a couple of years they stared to rub off the paint and I didnt want it to start to rust.

Yep! Shocks are checked for leaks etc...........bushes for wear etc. To be honest, whilst it can prove expensive (I had to replace the rear shocks on my BMW 330i last year) it does pick up on things you might not notice until its too late.

But, yeah, watching things like Hot Rod Road Kill, there's NO WAY those cars would be allowed (legally) on our roads. Which is both good and bad

And, yes, young drivers can pay several thousand £ for a car worth mere hundreds of £

Took the front tires off my '13 to check for tire rub, since the 285's are not leaving much room, and was pleased to find no signs of rubbing on the right front, and only a bit of rub against the wheel well liner in the left front.

Also took the rear wheels off the girlfriend's Shelby and replaced the parking brake cable locks/clips. One was missing and the other was coming loose.

I'm surprised they were only rubbing a tad. Perhaps you were driving it Gramma-style instead of Gangnam style?

Made progress on my halo fogs:

You can see the progression.

Sent current fogs in.
New COB's as they sit.
Removed lens on both.
Powered on inside housing as it sits.

Then we decided to dechrome, to tie in my dark front end...also makes the halos stick out more

I can't wait to get these puppies on.

I will also add Lamin X to protect the lenses, and then put a very light tint on the headlights and sidemarkers.

My car is slowly turning so eeeeevil. So dark. I'm completing my transformation to the dark side...
