What did you do with your Mustang today?*
Started out trip back to Washington State from near Dallas. We took nine days driving down and averaged 29.76 MPG. We'll take only seven days for the trip home and likely average a little lower MPG. What a great car!
Just did what may be the best mod I could do for my stang. Makes it quieter, I can go much longer in between fill-ups, its easier on my back, and the car will feel soooo much faster....
My mod...
I retired the stang --got a 2013 Focus SE with 10k mi as a commuter car. Hello garage queen status! 83k on the stang's ODO, now I can take my time on projects without daily wear and tear. I'll probably still drive it 1-2 times a week, It's not good to just let a car sit and I've got to keep my left foot seasoned to that performance clutch.
Of course, you don't just go from a moderately modded stang to a 4 banger auto. I still want to have some fun on my daily commute -- so the Focus is a 5 spd manual. Little sucker scoots, but I've got a Steeda short throw shifter and possibly a CAI in mind. Heh, it's funny...you'd think a normal car would cure my modding disease, but all its done is find a new host.

Got up to 50 degrees today so took the cover off and went for a drive, Ohhh how I've missed her. So much fun... but weather is dropping about 40 degrees so the cover is back on. Can't wait til spring.

What I did with my Mustang today
Well it was above freezing so I took my 1978 Mustang II King Cobra to the car wash and really gave her a good bath. Really worked on the engine bay and undercarriage. it felt good. Ended up talking to another Mustang guy for 39 minutes about the car.

Drove him for a booze run across the state line which is 30 miles away. My town is a dry town. Along the way played dodge the tumbleweeds. Getting ready to go out again for pizza.
