Since it was so nice out today (52 and sunny in IL) we took a long lunch and then the long way home. These nice days are numbered...gotta take advantage while we can.

Scrubbed down the filthy and dusty engine bay. Got a good amount of the grime out but her insides aren't fully clean to my OCD Mustang standards.

That's what he said. .

Enjoyed probably the last nice day for a while and then dropped her off at the dealership. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Drove her to Panera bread. Woo.
She needs a bath but may take her to the beach today before that happens. Need to let the little one run out some of that crazy energy.

Off early and I'm scrubbing out the S197's engine bay for the first time since she was bought brand new I think.

Engine bay is shiny and a buddy stopped over after I finished up. E decided that we needed to drop in the clear corners and switchback led's complete with resistors. The Mustang is looking awesome with the facelift but the only downside is she needs another bath after having so many handprints put on her..

Put new axle backs on and tried out ONR (Optimum No Rinse) for the first time. I'm thoroughly pleased with the results. She finally sounding healthy again!

How did the ONR workout? I need to get a good waterless cleaner for the winter months up here. What would you give it on a 1-10?

I would have to give it a 9-10. Washed it in my garage and didn't get the floor wet at all. It didn't leave any water spots and the water beads right up. It left the finish smooth almost like it was waxed. I was pretty amazed at how it worked. I bought it from autogeek.com but www.detailedimage.com has it on sale right now.

Awesome, thanks for the input! It rains so much for so long up here, my opportunity to wash the Mustang accordingly at this time of year is few and far between.. I need a good waterless wash that does an awesome job. Waxing isn't an issue but washing in a garage just isn't going to happen.

No prob man! I live in the chicagoland area and our weather is crap too. I try not to take her out on bad days, but it's good to know if I have to I have an alternative to the car wash. I was skeptical at first, but I'm a believer now in Optimum. Did that just sound like an infomercial?
