just curious what kinda fluids yall run. its probably frowned upon but ive got a few different brands. Royal Purple engine oil, amsoil in the transmission i think(previous owner) havent had a chance to change, and Super S gear oil. all synthetic.

 

I run royal purple oil and trans fluid and motorcraft axle fluid. I like the current fluids and they seem to reduce wear but its all personal preference.

 

how many miles do you put on your engine oil?

 

Mobil 1 synthetic oil, the rest of the fluids are Motorcraft.

 

Mobil 1 is just as expensive as royal purple ain't it ?

 

Mobil 1 synth oil for the motor, Royal Purple Syncrhomax in the trans, and Royal Purple with included friction modifier gear oil in the axle.

So far, no complaints, and it shifts better than with the Motorcraft stuff in the trans.

Oh, and I wanna say that the Syncrhomax's been since about 40K, and the RP gear oil in the axle since 75K. Oil since I got her. She's 85K now.

 

I have no idea... I get my oil changed at my mechanic's shop. It's near my firehouse, I drop it off in the morning and they do the oil change, tire rotation and check and top off anything else.

 

I run the full 7k and that 's both highway and city but I follow ford's maintenance schedule for everything...i'm sure they know the vehicle better than any of us. Once i add performance parts then i'll probably change it up to every 5k or so

 

I put nearly 10k on my last oil change. didn't have any troubles
