VMP vs Steeda triple-pass heat exchangers

VMP and Steeda both offer triple-pass dual-fan heat exchangers now.

Anybody know which one might be superior, what differences are, etc etc .....

VMP's is $799
Steeda $749

Gabe, I noticed that the dual fans look identical between the two brands. VMP claims 920 CFM and Steeda claims 800+ CFM. That's a significant CFM difference right out of the box. I think it's worth looking into.

I have a gut feeling they get them from the same place. Steeda possibly brands it as their own, while the VMP one is just right from AFCO.

The new VMP HE has 11" fans, I don't see the size on the Steeda, could be 10" which would account for the difference in the CFM ratings.

They are both great units ... with ours doing the following:

TRIPLE Pass Heat Exchanger - others are only single or dual
Plug and play fan wiring harness - no cutting or splicing
18% more heat rejection than closest competitive unit
A must if you road race your GT500 and a superior unit for street use
- See more at: http://www.steeda.com/steeda-mustang....bD2OjvqR.dpuf

Here is the review & install that was done on our unit:

The unit is priced very well ... let me know if I can help with anything ... you can reach me at tim@steeda.com

Best Regards,

TJ

The Steeda unit looks to be over engineered and built. That is the one I would get.

Why do the pictures look like they are reversed?

TJ, you copied and pasted part of the description off the Steeda website, something I had already seen.

Also, I don't have a GT500, this is for my Whippled 5.0

Please compare the Steeda unit to the VMP TRIPLE unit, not "others are single or dual"

We do not have any experience with the VMP so it is hard to compare ...

Besides the product description ... that is the only write up that was done on the unit ... it happened to be on the GT500.

I can put you in contact with the engineers that designed it, let me know.

Best Regards,

TJ
