Ponies on The Run (Again)
To answer, belatedly, your question about the dyno chart. Nothing is really wrong with it. I guess being a little nervous still I am questioning everything and making sure all is A-OK.

Okay, so it's now quarter to 3 my time, I've been up for about 24 hours. It's been the absolute best day in a loooong time. I went to see IHRA racing at Rockingham Dragway. It was incredible. For the night sessions we sat between the 1000ft and finish, and we got to get down within 5 feet of the cars as they went by. I must say, a top fuel dragster, with 8000+hp, going 300mph, storming by is the most exhilirating experience. The whole body shakes, incredible. I'll upload some pics and video later. Now: I want sleep.
Thought this was interesting Bill...

It was a lot of fun. It pretty much runs all day. The gates opened at like 8:30 am and it wasn't over until about midnight I think. I got there at around 3 and didn't leave until past 10 and they still were only getting to the final 4.
Lots of different things going during the event. The rocket car was absolutely amazing to see (and hear) run. The last pic is of a car that ran the entire 1/4 mi. doing a wheelie. Ran mid 8s at around 150 I believe. They had pretty good luck with cars (not) breaking.

These are special bolts, can't find them at a hardware store, only from the dealer.
Take it you didn't run the Stang in an 'All Out' race?
I use a Sony PD100A DVCAM (digital tape)
Canon HD-20 Mini DV, Capable of HDV (digital tape)
Panasonic SDR-S10P (SD card)
I use each one for diffrent reasons. If I had to do it all over again. I would buy the hard drive version of the Canon HV-20. This would eliminate "digitizing" video before you can edit it. Software I use Final Cut Pro & Final Cut Express on the 8 core Mac (yes it kicks Azz).

Sounds like a great time!
Funny story, though - I was driving to work yesterday and while going onto the Turnpike in 3rd gear at about 4psi of boost, I started hearing bad detonation. I got off the gas and it went away. Back on the throttle and the pinging started again.
The rest of the way to work I was wondering why this just started... bad gas? I did just fill up at a different station. Then, to make it even more confusing, sometimes I would hear the detonation, and sometimes I wouldn't.
Then I figured it out - there was a dime and a nickel under my almost-empty soda can in the cup holder. The coins against the can under the right road conditions made the EXACT same sounds as detonation, and it never did it long enough to pinpoint where the noise was coming from.

That's what I meant, thanks for reminding. Whenever I see a torque measurement it always seems like I assume it is in lbs.-ft. Anywho thanks for the help.

here's some pics, they didnt turn out as good as I would have liked, but all I had was the point and shoot
couple from the pits, including a stretched caddy limo, and a cool paint job where the skull's eye sockets were butterfly's from a supercharger
The last one's the only good one I have of a top fuel dragster. 0-330 in 4.5 seconds, just flat out incredible.

Another Fabulous Fords at Knotts in the books. An amazing show that is just way too big to see in one day. I don't know about the other So Cal guys but I am absolutely beat. Long weekend and a LONG day. As usual if there wasn't the So Cal crew to hang out with I wouldn't do 1/2 of the stuff we do. I'd certainly be spending a whole lot less
Here is just a teaser pic, I'll post some
in the auto-focus thread. Didn't take a whole lot, Jed and Ray will make up for the I think.
David Sounds like you had a good time. the pics are cool too. Being at the top-end for Fuelers is quite awesome... When the boomer is big enough it isn't too hard to feel the concussion or heat AND it's going by at almost 300.......
